Pauline L. (Marchione) Smith

Pauline L. (Marchione) Smith, age 85, joined her beloved husband, "Smitty" in heaven on Tuesday morning. Born in Dover she had lived in the North Canton most of her life and was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield after 30 years of service. Pauline was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy Ben V. Marconi Lodge #505 where she had been a trustee. She enjoyed playing cards and having lunch with the Blue Cross girls. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Smith, granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Smith, sister, Ruby Massarelli and brother, Anthony Marchione. Survived by her children, Pam Harhager, Brad Smith and Terri (John) O'Harrow, grandchildren, Jenny (Phil) Warner, Jaclyn O'Harrow, Jill (John) Boston, Elizabeth and Emily Smith, and Mark and Valerie Harhager, great-grandchildren, Lily, Jack, Lilah and John, sisters, Gloria Talarico and Joanne Marchione and a brother, Dean (Polly) Marchione. Family and friends will meet on Friday at 10 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Daniel Finnerty as celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice.
