Peter L. “Pete” Smith

Peter L. "Pete" Smith, age 66, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 after a two year battle with cancer. Born in Buffalo, New York, he had lived in Canton since 1976. Pete had been a Claims Adjuster with Nationwide Insurance, Advertising Sales Representative with Time Warner Cable and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Akron, Kent State University and Youngstown State University. He was a member of the North Lawrence Fish and Game Club, avid Lake Erie and Niagara River fisherman and loved to Travel. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Dori (Green) Smith. Preceded in death by parents, Audry and Alice Smith and a brother, Michael. Services will be private.
