Philip L. DiSabatino Jr., age 64, died Saturday after a lengthy illness. He was a life resident of Canton, 1970 graduate of Central Catholic High School, graduate of Malone University and earned his Masters at Kent State University. Phil was a teacher having served at Saint Joseph Catholic School (Massillon), Lake Cable Elementary School and Malone University and ended his career as Pastor of Music and Fine Arts at Canton First Friends Church. He was a kind and gentle spirit. Survived by his wife 42 years, Londa DiSabatino, daughters, Amy (Nicholas) Bell and Angela (Jason) Marks, grandchildren, Maisy and Avery Bell and Owen and Ruby Marks all of Canton, sisters, Christine DiSabatino of Massillon and Anita (Jeff) Price of Navarre and brothers, Albert (Kathy) DiSabatino of Canton and Thomas (Carly) DiSabatino of North Canton. Preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Janis DiSabatino. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Canton First Friends Church with Pastors Stan Hinshaw and Paul Johnson officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church. Private burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Canton First Friends Church.
