Philip G. Lago, age 84 died Saturday. Born in Cleveland, he lived in Canton most of his life, was a 1956 graduate of McKinley High School, retired from LTV Steel and worked until his final retirement for Marcus Corporation. Preceded in death by his wife, Judith Lago and parents, Jose and Lydia Lago. Survived by his sons, Philip "Chip" (Christine) Lago and Dr. William (Layna) Lago, grandchildren, Chandler, Alexa, Kyle (Megan), Philip and Bryce Lago and Sarah (David) Stewart, great grandchild, Grayson Stewart, sister, Carmen Lago and niece, Marleny Meyers. The family would like to thank the staff at the Legends Care Center for their care. Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home with Ron Iwanusa officiating. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
