Phillip Albert Hanood

January 7, 1930 — April 18, 2017

Phillip Albert Hanood, age 87, died Tuesday. He had lived in Canton most of his life, 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School, Korean War Army veteran, was retired from the Timken Company, and a member of the Louisville Eagles. Phillip's passion in life was golfing with his friends. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Marlene (Thiessen) Hanood, daughters, Peggy (Terry) Pitzer and Denise Schlatt, sons, Phillip (Thea) Hanood Jr. and David (Bonnie) Hanood, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Leah) Hanood, Kelly Wells and Jena (Jason) Richards, seven great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Larry Tornero and brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Norma Hanood, Louis and Bonnie Hanood, Paul Hanood and Lois Hanood. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rose Hanood and brothers, George and James Hanood. Friends may call Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home followed by a service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in Saint John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
