Raymond D. Hofacre

Raymond D. Hofacre, age 90, died Saturday. Born in Massillon, he had lived in North Canton most of his life. Ray was a 1944 graduate of Massillon High School, graduated from Chicago Technical College, retired from Goodyear Aerospace, member of Christ the Servant Parish and Air Stream RV Club and a World War II Navy veteran. Preceded in death by his wife Laura Hofacre, parents, Lee and Nina Hofacre and brother, Donald Hofacre. Survived by his daughter, Laura (Rob) Bader of Saint Charles, Illinois, sons, Greg (Cyndi) Hofacre of Canton and Jeff (Joyce) Hofacre of Worthington, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Marilyn (Chuck) George of Burr Ridge, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Christ the Servant Parish with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ the Servant Parish.
