Richard J. Henderson

Richard J. Henderson Born 9-23-1931 Died 4-30-2022 Died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Trenton, Michigan to Jean (Sutherby) and Arthur Henderson. Dick was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. After 25 years of service, he retired from the Trenton Fire Department with the rank of Captain. He enjoyed traveling and never met a stranger. Survived by wife, Marilyn, of 64 years, daughters Karen (Barry) Cargill and Mary Beth (Greg) Soehnlen, grandchildren Megan (Steve) Writtenberry, Scott (Carmen) Cargill, Kelsey (Nick) Fockler, Greg Soehnlen and Katie (Brent) Lanning and great-grandchildren Penelope, Clark, Vera and John Paul, and brother, Robert. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Loretta and brother Don. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 6th at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 241 S Main Street, North Canton, Ohio. Visitation begins at 9:00 am with Mass following at 10:00 am. A Michigan memorial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to St. Paul Catholic Church.
