Richard John Tebroski

Richard John Tebroski, 83, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021.Richard was born on January 6, 1938 to the late John and Mary (née Serra) Tebroski. Shortly after high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he gained the ranks of Senior Airman. Once honorably discharged, Richard returned to his hometown and shortly thereafter met the love of his life, Kathryn. The two were joined in marriage on November 22, 1962. In 1966, he began his lifelong career at The Timken Company where he worked for over 34 years. After retirement, Richard joined the American Legion Post #44 where he served as an Honor Guard. Richard always enjoyed the art of a good conversation, no matter where he happened to be on any given day. To put it simply, he never met a stranger and always returned home with a funny story about his latest 'encounter'. Richard loved playing the lottery every chance he could, watching Turner Classic Movies daily and sharing his deep fascination of UFOs. Needless to say, Richard loved life and everything it had to offer. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn (née Gang), cherished daughters Sherry (Jeff) Poe and Tammy (Keith) Kost, along with his beloved grandchildren, Kevin, Brad and Lauren Kost and his precious furry grandchildren, Bruiser, Rosie and Jackie. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 10-11 a.m. with services to immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue NW in Canton. Private burial services to be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Trauma Institute & Child Trauma Institute or the Stark County Humane Society Animal Shelter.
