Rickie A. Mclaughlin

Rickie A. McLaughlin passed away July 19, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born in Canton, Ohio on May 10, 1953 to his late parents, Herschel and Annabelle (Harrison) McLaughlin. Also preceding Rickie in death was his brother, Donald.

A proud graduate of Kent State University, he retired from Alliance Shippers after many years of dedication, and a job well done. Rick had a special gift of connecting with family, friends, and colleagues, as well as being a huge believer in giving back to his community and helping others, leading him to serve as City Councilman of North Canton. In his younger years, he played fumble ball and softball and enjoyed going to baseball games in Cleveland and Akron. He enjoyed working out at the Y with his workout buddies. Rick and Nancy loved to travel and enjoyed their many adventures with all their friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy McLaughlin; brother, Gary (Linda) McLaughlin; nephews Dale (Jewelette) McLaughlin and Troy (Courtney) McLaughlin; niece Traci (John) Bachtel.

The family will receive guests on August 6, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, where a Memorial Service will follow at 6:00.
