Rita I. Ganz

Rita I. Ganz, age 78, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021. She was a life resident of Canton, graduate of Central Catholic High School and the Mercy School of Nursing. She earned a BSN and a MSed from the University of Akron. Rita worked at Mercy Medical Center for 24 years and then retired after 13 years from the Canton City Schools Practical Nurse Program. Thanks to her the Canton/Massillon area has more Licensed Practical Nurses. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and was previously active in the American Nurse Association Stark-Carroll District. Survived by her brother, Brother Allen Ganz, FSC of New Jersey. Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Louise Ganz, sister, Mary Lou Ganz and brothers, Theodore Jr. and Thomas Ganz. Services were private with entombment in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flower donations may be made to Catholic Charites of Stark County.
