Robert Francis Boylan, 87, passed away July 12, 2018, at home with family by his side. He was born January 31, 1931, in Canton, Ohio, son of James and Florence (Kessler) Boylan. He was a USAF Korean War Veteran. He graduated from Lehman High School, Class of 1949. He earned his B. Ed. and his M. Ed. at Kent State University. He had a full career as an Administrator at Springfield High School, in Lakemore, Ohio. Robert, along with his wife, Nancy, started a successful concessions business, and some of their family members still carry on in their tradition. He also was an important benefactor to our community by helping his wife and her associates to start the Domestic Violence Project here in Stark County, Ohio.
Along with his Parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy J. (Winbigler) Boylan, whom he married December 27, 1958; his brother Thomas Boylan. He is survived by his children Mark Boylan (Lucreda Boylan), Michelle (Boylan) Conde, Steven Boylan, Scott Boylan and Thomas Boylan; his grandchildren Megan, Raven, Chase, Catrena, Airyel, Cooper, and Marissa; his great-grandchildren Paytin, Mason, Miles and Harper.
Family members are respecting Robert's wishes to have no formal service, but welcome friends and loved ones to help them celebrate his life and to grieve his loss.
