Robert G. "Bobby" Jacobs, age 42, died Wednesday of cancer. Born in Akron, he was raised in Louisville and lived in New Port Richey, Florida. Bobby was a 1993 graduate of Louisville High School, volunteer fireman with the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department and in Florida owned B & M Home Improvements of New Port Richey. Survived by his father and stepmother, Robert E. and Nancy Jacobs of Canton, stepfather, Raymond Dover of Canton, fiancee, Melissa Caccia of New Port Richey, Florida, stepsisters, Kim (Mitchell) Tope of Findlay and Leigh Ann (David) Miller of Canton, stepbrother, D.J. Thacker of New York City and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Prececed in death by his mother, Kathryn Dover. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the Canton Christian Home with Chaplain Ron Iwanusa. Burial in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
