Robert Stanford Larson, age 76, went home to be with his Savior on Good Friday, April 2, 2021. Bob was a leader in his family, church, and community, and will be greatly missed. A long-time North Canton resident and business owner, Bob was born on December 23, 1944 in Westlake, Ohio to parents Nils and June Larson. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school and served 3 years. He then graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He soon acquired North Canton Pet Store and moved it to its current location on Main Street in North Canton, where it eventually transitioned to LilyBlooms Aquatic Gardens and finally Aquatic Gardens of Ohio. Bob's family and his faith were the foundation of his life. Bob attended and served at Canton First Friends Church for nearly 40 years and served on the Board of Heritage Christian School for multiple years. All eight of his children attended the school, some for all 13 years. Bob had a long-term connection with Canaan Land Ministries in Brazil, where his affection, financial support, and multiple visits impacted the lives of many. Bob and his wife Sandy also enjoyed their time in Florida, where Bob became an avid deep-sea fisherman and actively served in the local church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Avery Larson, and his first wife, Kathy. He is survived by his wife Sandy Larson, his brothers Chris Larson and Ernie Larson, his sons and daughters-in-law Jeff and Joy Larson, Todd and Sherri Larson, Curt and Jessica Larson, Troy and Rachel Larson, sons Brett Larson, Brad Larson and Hason Larson, daughter Haisha Larson, 22 much-loved grandchildren, and many other close friends and relatives. His legacy includes his special relationship with his grandchildren, and the many, many people who were touched by his steadfast life, his faith, and his generosity. Calling hours will be held at First Friends Church on Wednesday from 6-8 PM, and his home-going celebration will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 8, also at First Friends. The private burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Friends Church (5455 Market Ave. N. Canton, OH 44714) to support missions. Please write "Bob Larson Memorial" on the memo line.
