ROBERT REGENHARDT

Robert Regenhardt passed away April 25, 2023. Robert was born January 8, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Hans and Marie May Regenhardt. He is survived by wife, Patricia Zinsmiester Parker Regenhardt. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia (Gina) Hamister; four children, David Regenhardt, Susan Bennett, Ann Nottke, and Jill Simpson; his seven grandchildren, Hannah Regenhardt, Caroline Regenhardt, Eric Bennett, Megan Bennett, Kelsey Bennett, Ashle Springer, and Erika Simpson; two great-grandchildren, James and Emma Springer.

He was predeceased by his first three wives, Patricia Boyles, the mother of their four children, Martha Evans, and Madeleine Herrmann.

Robert graduated from Wooster High School in 1951, spent two years in the U.S. Army as a radio repairman, and married his first wife, Patricia Boyles.

Robert then enrolled at the Ohio State University College of Engineering and graduated in the spring of 1961, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. During this time, he worked as a draftsman for H.L, Johnson Inc., when he and his wife, Patricia had their first two children, David and Susan.

In his 59-year working career, Robert worked for Borden Chemical Co., as their IE Manager; Airstream, as their IE Manager; and Volvo Heavy Truck Corp. He retired from Volvo in 1993, as their Engineering Manager.

Robert was a devoted fan of Ohio State's football team and a season ticket holder from 1961 through 2020. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing bridge with his friends, and loved spending hours in his workshop producing stretchers and displays for his wife's painting career.
