Robert D Roush, 82, passed away peacefully Monday July 17th at his home, surrounded by his wife and family, of pancreatic cancer.

Bob was a native and lifelong resident of Canton, OH, the son of the late Ora and Mary (Ferrell) Roush. A graduate of Canton Central Catholic HS, Bob spent a distinguished career as a specialist in the field of non-destructive testing for domestic and international industrial, government and military clients.

He was a tireless project-tackler, early computer adopter and craftsman and was happiest when busy with something, right up to his last days. In his retirement, Bob especially enjoyed the many years he spent contributing his considerable talents to Habitat for Humanity.

Bob and his wife of 61 years, Elinor (Dubs) loved nothing more than being with their family and friends. In addition to Elly, Bob is survived by sons, Dr. Gregory (Ann), Dr Stephen (Halle), Sean (Sheila) and Brian (Angela); daughter, Melissa (the late Thomas) Shea; his 21 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Thomas (the late Judy) and Joseph (Nancy) Roush; and sister, Mary Lou (Ronald) Schalmo. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anita Roush; sister-in-law, Judy Roush; grandson, Britain Roush; and son-in-law, Thomas Shea.

In honor of his wishes, Bob is laid to rest in Henry Warstler cemetery following private memorial services.
