Robert Lee Schuring passed away July 5th at the Laurels of Massillon following an extended illness. Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Marion and four beloved brothers, Donald, James, Richard and Kenneth. He is survived by his beloved partner, Rosalee Kelly of Canton, one sister, Marion Zeck of Canton as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. Following his graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from September 13, 1950 through April 12, 1952 earning the rank of Sergeant. He later was called to active duty as a reservist. Bob loved people and he loved to talk. He was a born salesman and finally settled on a career selling insurance and real estate. Bob wanted to do it all and he did. He earned his private pilot's license and traveled the world. He climbed the Great Wall of China, he was baptized in the River Jordan, went on safari in Africa, stood in the Taj Mahal in India and the Blue Mosque in Turkey to name just a few of his adventures. Bob loved his church, his Pastor, Randy Shafer and all the wonderful people at the Eleventh Street Church of God. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Eleventh Street Church of God Building Fund for the new church planned for Faircrest Street.
