Rodney H. England

Rodney H. England, 82, of North Canton, OH, peacefully transitioned from this life to begin his next great adventure on August 28, 2025. Rodney was born December 28, 1942, in the UK and was christened at the Church of England. He attended University in Bath, where he studied culinary arts. After a long career in hospitality, he moved to the US in the mid 80's where he became an Aux Sergeant for the Canton City Police department.

Rodney loved world history and had a vast and detailed knowledge across a wide range of subjects. In addition to his enormous encyclopedic mind, he had a wicked sense of humor. He was also generous and willing to lend a hand for many. He enjoyed cooking (and teaching others how to cook); eating, drinking, music, talking to his family; visiting with friends, and watching his favorite programs on a KING size TV, while relaxing in his cozy recliner.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and sister. He is survived by his family and friends in the UK, South Africa, and the Netherlands. Here in America, Rodney is survived by family, several close friends, his Lady (domestic partner), and their two fur babies.

While we miss Rodney dearly, we look forward to the day our paths cross again.

A celebration of Rodney's life will be held at the American Legion, 1633 Cleveland Ave., NW, Canton, OH 44703 on September 10, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
