Ronald Lee Wirth

Ronald Lee Wirth, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Day after a long and courageous battle with COPD. He was a lifelong resident of Canton, graduated from McKinley High School and retired from Republic Steel. Ron was a dedicated Ohio State football and basketball fan. Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jan, children, Jon (Sherry) Wirth, Shelly Wirth and grandchildren, Travis, Madison (Tyler), Noah, Brandon and Trent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Bob Wirth, sister, Eleanor Stewart and brother, Bill Brown. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
