Rose Marie (Cobett) Campbell, age 93, died Sunday. She was a life resident of the Canton, was the retired owner of Private Investigation Service – being the first woman licensed by the State of Ohio and a member of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church. During World War II she worked at Republic Steel Berger Division and was known as "Rosie the Riveter". She is survived by her son, Stephen (Gayle) Campbell of Canton, grandchildren, Stephanie (Andy) Totten, Michelle (Greg) Gordon and Jessica (Travis Forshey) Campbell, four great-grandchildren, sister, Mary Bucklew, and sisters-in-law, Norma and Josephine Cobett. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Cobett, brothers, John Jr., Russell and Edgar Cobett and close friend, Penny Harris. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Father G. David Weikart officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
