Roy M. Richards

Roy M. Richards, age 87, died Tuesday. He was a life resident of the Canton/North Canton area, 1946 graduate of Middlebranch High School and was retired from Republic Steel/LTV as Superintendent of Labor and Transportation. He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) and an avid golfer. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris (Dysle) Richards, daughters, Jean (Patrick) Green, Cecilia Murphey and Catherine Richards, sons, Tom (Suzanne) Richards, Bruce (Mary) Richards, Fred (Paula) Richards and Ray (Linda) Richards, 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) with Father Daniel Finnerty as celebrant. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Tee of Canton.
