Russell A. Harper

Russell A. Harper, age 53 died Wednesday after a valiant battle with COPD. Born in France he had lived in the Canal Fulton/East Sparta area most of his life. He was a 1983 graduate of Northwest High School and had worked at Ohio Paper Tube. Survived by his life partner, Jolane Boyce, daughters, Jaimie (Richard) Brooks, Sarah (Devin Brown) Harper, Trisha Jo (Kevin Snodgrass) Steinbrenner, Jillian Ricker and Cassandra Boyce, grandchildren, Liam Yankauski, Carson and Emery Brown, Richard Penn, Zoe Ricker and Miya Williamson, sisters, Rhonda (Michael) O'Bradovich and Shelly (Brad) Bhe and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in East Sparta with Pastor Michael Bradford officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lamiell Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.
