RUTH MARIE (HORANSKY) BRUNNER

Ruth Marie (Horansky) Brunner, lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio for 82 years, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born December 7, 1940, to her late parents, Julius and Velma (Martin) Horansky. Together with her parents, she was welcomed to her eternal home by her husband, Walter Brunner and brother, David Horansky.

She was a 1958 graduate of Canton South High School , a 1996 graduate of Malone University and retired from Stark County Health Department after 30 years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, volunteered at Mercy Medical Center and Catholic Church Seniors, and was Past President of St. Mary/St. Clement. A devout Catholic, Ruth truly believed God willingly, has wonderful things planned for each of us. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Cherishing Ruth's memory always are those who survive; daughter, Denise (Chuck) Schrader of Carrollton; grandchildren, Stephen Schaffran, Charles Schrader, III, and Christina (Jesse) Schrader-Creech.

The family will receive guests from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023, Holy Family Parish, Navarre. Father Fredrick Schlutter will serve as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
