McQuaid, her 5 daughters Theresa Antoniades; Tony, Christine Jacobsen; Alan, Rebecca Harsher; Bob, Anna McQuaid, Lisa Lockard; Steve, and her 2 sons Allan McQuaid; Vickie, James McQuaid; Tonya. Also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, and her brother Edward Monnot. Ruth was preceded in death by her 2 sisters Esther Schwab, and Dorothy Kasper, along with her 4 brothers Louis Monnot, Ray Monnot, Roy Monnot, Kenneth Monnot, and her mother Rhea Moulin Monnot, and father Glen Monnot. Also survived by her beloved dog Buddy. Ruth was the most strong, kind-hearted, caring, compassionate woman you would ever meet. Though she was a stubborn taurus (the bull), anyone that knew Ruth knew how affable she was. She was a member of the Red Hats, The American Legion, The Bowling Association, and The Shuffleboard League. Ruth was a very clever sassy woman who always enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. She was very skilled with arts and crafts including crocheting, sewing, puzzles, and coloring. She also loved cooking and baking. Ruth always gave the best life-lessons and often would reminisce about her past and tell stories of her youth. She had a wonderful sense of humor, seeing her smile and laugh would light up the darkest room. Ruthie will always be remembered as a sweet, loving, beautiful woman and will be missed greatly by all the lives she had touched. With special thanks to all the staff at Saint Joseph's for being so kind and caring with Ruth, James, and family we appreciate it all. We all thank you for just being you Poofer with condolences and love always and forever. Family and friends may meet on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Simon Mino as celebrant.
