Sandra J. (Williams) Shiplett

Sandra J. (Williams) Shiplett, age 80, died Saturday after a short illness. Born in Ravenna, she had lived in Louisville most of life and had retired from Timken Mercy Medical Center. Sandy was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church (Harrisburg). Preceded in death by her husband, John "Tom" Shiplett, sons, Robert and Thomas Shiplett, sister. Frances Anne Gilbert and brother. Thomas Williams. Survived by a daughter, Patty Cleveland, sons, Kevin (Diane Thompson) Shiplett, Gerald (Tamie) Shiplett and Daniel (Sandra) Shiplett and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staffs of Elmcroft Senior Living of Medina and All Caring Hospice for their care. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church (Harrisburg) with Father Nicholas Mancini as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
