Shelly Latrice (Singleterry) Stewart

Shelly Latrice (Singleterry) Stewart, 45, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2021. She was born August 27, 1975, in Canton, Ohio to Betty Singleterry and the late Frederick Singleterry. Shelly was devoted to her sons, and being a mother was one of her many proudest accomplishments. She loved football and relaxing with her family. She spearheaded family gatherings. She enjoyed fashion and was the queen of online ordering. She also loved to try new food dishes with her family. Shelly graduated from McKinley Senior High School - Canton, Ohio in 1993, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science from The University of Cincinnati in Criminal Justice. She began her career in the Pretrial Release Program with Hamilton County Courts. She worked as a United States Pretrial Officer since 2010, with her most current Duty Station in the Southern District of Ohio - Columbus Office. Other accomplishments/positions included being Certified in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Bail Investigations, Pretrial Risk Assessment, and Supervision Case Management. She was preceded in death by her father Frederick Singleterry, grandparents Woodrow & Essie Collins; grandmother Kathleen Cummings; aunts Mary Lou Tucker, Mildred Glenn, Effie Henry, Brenda Hill, Paula Scott, uncles Leroy Singleterry and Joe Nathan Collins. She is survived by her loving husband Shawn Stewart; children Darius Houston and Jackson Houston; stepchildren Shawn Stewart Jr., Shawnbreil Stewart, DaShawn Stewart, Shondrick Stewart; grandson Dajuan Stewart; mother Betty Singleterry; sisters Tiffany(Gary) Dozier, Nikki(Tremaine) Woodley, twin sister Shannon Singleterry; aunts Tonya Collins, Diane Collins; uncle Savan Collins; aunt Valerie Collins; aunt Gwen Singleterry; mother-in-law Janice Stewart; brother-in-law Charlie Stewart; special friends and an endless list of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
