Shirley A. "Dolly" (Moose) Stroud, age 87, died Saturday. She was a life resident of Canton, 1947 graduate of McKinley High School, the former Librarian at Saint John Grade School, Cafeteria Cook at Saint Peter Grade School and ended her career at Rolando's as a hostess and server. Shirley was a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Survived by her daughters, Kathy (Ronald) Shackle of Canton, Maureen (Robert) Price of Aurora, Colorado and Terri (Dan) Antonson of Bolivar, sons, John Stroud of Strafford, Virginia and Gary Stroud Jr. of Akron, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Eva Moose, sisters, Jeanne Ury and Sr. Mary Immaculette, SND and brother, William Moose. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist or the Alzheimer's Association.
