Sister Maureen Crawford, CDS

Sister Maureen (Ann Marie) Crawford was born in St. Mary’s, PA, on December 9, 1936 and born to eternal life on March 19, 2026. Sister entered the Congregation of the Divine Spirit in Erie, PA, on August 15, 1958. Sister Maureen taught at St. James and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel schools in Erie, and Assumption School in Geneva, Ohio. Sister also participated in all aspects of the care of the Aged at the House of Loreto in Canton.

Sister’s parents, Irene and George Crawford, preceded her in death, as did her brothers William, Cletus, John, Thomas and Frederick Crawford, and her sisters Patricia Conklin, Ada Steinbach, and Dorothy McKelvey. Sister Maureen is survived by her community of Sisters and by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Sister Maureen in the Congregation of the Divine Spirit Motherhouse Chapel at 11:00 on Monday, March 23, with Fr. Edward Beneleit officiating. Visitation will be for 1 hour before Mass.
