Sr. Claire Batterson, a member of the Congregation of the Divine Spirit, was born to eternal life, January 1st. Born in Flushing, New York, was the daughter of Katherine Locke and William August Batterson. She is survived by her religious community, a devoted nephew Peter Batterson and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 4th at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Our Lady of Charity, Motherhouse. Calling hours will be one hour before Mass. Private burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Erie, PA. Memorials may be made to the Congregation of the Divine Spirit, 2812 Harvard Avenue, NW, Canton, OH 44709.
