Stella M. (Kutt) Granchi, age 104, died Sunday, April 25, surrounded by her loving family. She was a life resident of Canton, had worked in the convent of Saint Thomas Aquinas, and retired from GlenOak High School. Stella was a charter member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, AARP, and an excellent seamstress. Stella was active with cooking, baking, exercising and could sew anything from Barbie clothes to a wedding gown! She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John Granchi, parents, Stanley and Mary Kutt and brothers Mickey and Vern Kutt. Survived by her sister, Blanche Kutt and daughters, Patricia (Charles)McCourry of Canton and Marsha (Thom) Caiazza of Uniotown, and son, Ronald (Marsha) Granchi of Cape Coral, Florida.
She had seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. God blessed our family with a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother , and great great grandmother.
Family and friends will meet on Monday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Entombment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Philomatheon Society.
