Susan Marie Puyear

Susan Marie Puyear of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly November 18, 2025. She was born in Canton, Ohio June 25, 1970, to Elaine (Makley) Czekansky and the late Edward Czekansky.

A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Susie, as she was lovingly known, had many successes in her professional journey, demonstrating her accomplishments, skills, and experiences. Some of her career highlights included working in Medical Records at Aultman Hospital, dispatching for North Canton Police and Fire Departments, and serving as a Flight Attendant for PSA Airlines.

Although each of these careers were key moments in her life, her most important role and greatest blessing was raising her three children. Most recently, she enjoyed being a dog and chicken mom, working around her property with her husband, and decorating their farmhouse.

Her memory will be cherished always by those who survive; her husband, Adam Puyear; sons, Trevor (Meghan), David (fiancée, Kelly); daughter, Allison; stepsons, Jory (Meghan) and Gage; grandchildren, Harley, Remington, and Rylee; mother, Elaine; brother, Dan (Amanda); sister, Chris (John); and many nieces and nephews.

Susie was a member of Corydon Baptist Church and was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord, welcoming God to shine through her.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on December 1, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton. A private Graveside Service will take place at the convenience of the family.
