Suzanne Mathein

Sue Mathein, 83, of Louisville, went to Heaven on New Year's Day surrounded by her loved ones. She was married to the love of her life, Ed, for 63 years. Sue was the mother of Larry (Ellen), Jenifer (John) Schnettler, Linda (Bill) Burmeister, and Sarah (James, deceased) Lee. She had eight wonderful grandchildren and eight delightful great-grandchildren. Her life was full of adventure, and Sue saw humor in every situation. Between a laugh and a tear, she always chose the laugh – a tribute to her unique view of life. Sue was a true character, and beloved by everyone lucky enough to call her "friend". Her light will shine brightly forever. A private family celebration of Sue's amazing life has taken place. To honor her memory, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
