THEODORE F. SAVASTANO
Theodore F. Savastano, of Canton, Ohio, peacefully entered his eternal home on April 13, 2024. He was 86. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, on July 31, 1937, he was the son of the late Philip and Rose (Trippi) Savastano.
   
  
Ted was a colorful man whose goal in life was to make his beautiful bride and family happy. He gave them everything he had, including yearly summer trips to Cape Cod…his favorite place on earth. His daily goal was to get as many laughs as possible and that was true until his last days.
   
  
Named class clown upon his graduation from high school, Ted graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Finance. He went on to receive his MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He was a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He oversaw numerous mergers and acquisitions, including the creation of Hunter Environmental, Summit Environmental and IPO of Waterlink Inc., on the NYSE.
   
  
   Ted has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who survive, and he will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Carole (Henderson) Savastano; son, Mark (Anne) Savastano and children Philip and Sophia of Canton; son Keith (Janice) Savastano and son David of Redmond, WA; daughter, Jean (Peter) Chojnacki and children Matthew, David, Katie and Michael of Hudson; daughter, Ellen (Peter) Velez and children Vincent and Kai of Shaker Heights; and brother, Ron (Marquita) Savastano of Roswell, Georgia; sister-in-law, Lois Girard, Mashpee, MA; brother-in-law, Brian (Cindy) Henderson, Shrewsbury, MA; and several nieces, a nephew, and several cousins.
   
  
   
  
The family will receive guests for calling hours on Thursday, April 18,2024 from 5PM-7PM at Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44703. The funeral will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, 627 McKinley Ave, NW Canton, OH 44703. Father David T. Chojnacki will serve as Celebrant.
   
  
Ted's family thanks the doctors and nurses at Aultman Hospital and the staff at Aultman Compassionate Care for their kindness and love. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Canton Symphony Orchestra Endowment Fund, Early Childhood Resource Center or the Basilica of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
