Thomas A. Swogger

Thomas A. Swogger Age 89, of Canton, passed away Fri. Mar. 9, 2018 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born June 9, 1947 in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late Charles and Margaret (New) Swogger, he had been a Canton resident since 1947. Thomas retired in 1985 from the Berger Division of Republic Steel Corp. as a Foreman in the Paint Department. He was a life member of the N.R.A. and volunteered with his wife at Mercy Medical Center. Thomas served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Swogger, three sisters, four brothers and a daughter-in-law. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris (Christine) Swogger and Mark (Audrey) Swogger; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances (Steve) Zetti; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Vivian) Swogger and Hugh (Elsie) Swogger.
