Virginia M. Anderson

Virginia M. Anderson, age 96, died Tuesday. She was a life resident of Canton, 1938 graduate of Lehman High School and was retired from Seaboard Finance. Virginia was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and had volunteered at her church, Canton Regency, House of Loreto and United Way. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Anderson Jr. and sister, Carole Carnes. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Reverend Scott J. and Reverend Charlotte Anderson of Urbana, two grandchildren, Christian (Halle) and Catherine Anderson and three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Sparrowe and Leonidas Anderson. Family and friends will meet on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Donald King as celebrant. Burial will be in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
