Walter R. “Joe” Brunner

December 9, 1936 — April 26, 2021

Walter R. "Joe" Brunner, age 84, died Monday. He was a life resident of Canton, was a retired auto body repairman and foreman, member of Saint Mary Catholic Church (Canton) and a United States Marine Corps veteran. Survived by his wife Ruth (Horansky) Brunner, daughters, Elaine Schaffran of North Canton and Denise (Chuck) Schrader of Carrollton, grandchildren, Stephen Schaffran, Charles Schrader III and Christina (Jesse) Schrader-Creech and sister, Norma Jean Haddix of Canton. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Clara Brunner, sisters, Dorothy Weber, Marie Ward, Helen Jewell and brothers, Ralph, Russell, Paul and Harold Brunner. Family and friends may call Friday from 9:15-10 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church (Canton) followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. with Deacon Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Mary Catholic Church (Canton).
