Walter W Schwabe

Walter W. Schwabe, age 88 died on October 15, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly J. Schwabe (Bachellor); two sons Richard W. (Mary Ann) Schwabe and Scott A. (Joan) Schwabe; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Ernest W. and Edith F. Schwabe (Collins); brother Robert A. Schwabe; sister in law Mary Ruth Schwabe; and a daughter in law Colleen Schwabe (Slofkosky). Walter attended Miami University (Oxford, OH) and earned a Certificate in Structural Engineering. He served his country in the US Army 9th Infantry Division during the Korean War. Walter had a long and successful career at Republic / LTV Steel. Throughout his adult life in Galloway, OH; Owego, NY; and Canton, OH he was active in his church and community including serving as BSA Scoutmaster for 10 years in Galloway. Walter was a master craftsmen and private pilot; and blessed his family, friends, and church communities with his skills, ingenuity and quality workmanship. Services were private with burial in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
