Wilfred V. Mazeall, Sr.

Wilfred V. Mazeall, Sr. passed away, January 17, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born in Canton, Ohio on June 9, 1941, to his late parents, Walter and Verna (Hamlin) Mazeall. Together with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Wilfred V. Mazeall, II; daughter, Natalie Arney; great-grandson, Anthony Mazeall; sisters, Mary Alice Ellenberger and Patricia Anderson; and brother, Walter Mazeall.

A lifelong Canton resident, Wilfred was an avid McKinley Bulldogs fan and retired from the Timken Company. He loved fishing, hunting, and in particular, mushroom hunting. Devoted to his family, his love and support was an unconditional bond.

Wilfred will live on in the hearts and mind of those he leaves behind; his wife of 57 years, Barbara Mazeall; son, Michael (Shelly) Mazeall, Sr.; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Warren; and brother, Chandler Mazeall.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton., with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 pm.
