William M Bogdan, age 81, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 27, 2025. He was born in Akron, Ohio on September 7, 1943. Bill graduated from Garfield High School in 1961. He was one of the top 10 little league baseball players in Akron. Bill received his bachelor's degree in education in 1967 at the University of Akron. He would have completed his masters in Geology but would have to complete fieldwork in Nevada for 6 months. Instead, he continued his position as computer programmer for B.F Goodrich / Uniroyal Tires / Michelin in advances in computer software technologies for over 30 years. Bill married Karen S. Schieller in July 1968. He was a devoted family man. He was active with his children's activities, Kristina Julius (Bruce) and Keith D. Bogdan, coaching, taking to sporting activities / events, traveling and spending time with his family. After retirement, he contracted at various business to update and initiate their software programs in Canada and U.S.
   
  
During retirement, Bill spent time sharing his observations, experiences and past with others via email. He had several editorials published in the Akron Beacon Journal about his views of the world. Bill created several books: children's book with his illustrations and writings; collections of his email letters, and his art. He entered several art competitions in Akron and Canton. His main method was Woodcuts. His art reflected his life and inspirations. He was a devoted Cleveland sports fan. He never missed a Cavaliers, Guardians/Indians or Browns game on television.
   
  
The family would like to thank Cliff & Jackie Labbe, Dave / Sue, Denny / Cathy & Marty / Michele Hyatt, Tim Brown, Kelly Chesney, Tom Wachunas and Jerry Ryan for all they did to bring joy to our father. We would also like to thank all his home healthcare workers that helped comfort Bill at the end of his life. Taking time to listen to him was a valved gift.
