Our beloved deda Zhora, age 95, passed peacefully on Friday, surrounded by family. Zhora was born in Armavir, Soviet Union. He was a renowned soccer coach of the Armenian Professional under-18 league in Artashat for over 45 years. In 2005, he found a new home in North Canton, Ohio, to enjoy his retirement with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Zhora loved to tell the story of how his under-18 soccer team became the winners of Soviet Union Cup in 1969. You couldn't help but feel like you were there, a part of that moment, as he told his story.

Zhora met his darling Ashken in Talin, Armenia, and after a 7-year courtship, he married the love of his life and best friend in 1953. Zhora and Ashken settled in Artashat, Armenia, where they raised their wonderful three daughters. In their youth, they enjoyed preforming on the radio where Zhora played the mandolin and Ashken sang. Zhora was the life of every party, between his memorable toasts and the fun Armenian dancing that he joyfully choreographed.

Zhora is preceded in death by his wife, Ashken; parents, Melkon and Mariam Ghazanchyan; and his sisters, Emma and Seda. He is survived by his daughters, Zhanna (Ruben), Marina (Araik) and Karina (Gro); grandchildren, Artur, Lilit (David), Inga (David), Gurgen, Mikayel (Veronica), Georgii, Michael, Luiza; great-
