PAUL J.LAMIELL

Paul Lamiell, Jr. (P.J)
1961-2022
Paul Sr. started working in the funeral business in high school, leading him to attend Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. After graduating, he worked locally as a licensed funeral director and embalmer for several years. Ultimately, this led Paul Sr. and his wife Sally to open Lamiell Funeral Home at its current location on January 1, 1969. For the next 42 years until his passing, he successfully operated the funeral home. In 1983, Paul Jr. “P.J.” graduated from Xavier University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science joining Paul Sr. as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. P.J. successfully led the funeral home until his untimely passing in 2022. Both Paul and P.J. were lifetime residents of Canton and very active members of Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Over the years, they both volunteered for numerous organizations, community projects and non-profit charities.
